Alexis Okeowo, A Moonless, Starless Sky: Ordinary Men and Women Fighting Extremism in Africa (Hachette, 2017)

*All books are available from local textbook sellers and (at substantially reduced prices) from online retailers like Amazon.com in a variety of formats. All other readings will be available online, either freely or requiring an OU login. Each book (and to be clear, these are not "textbooks") can be gotten used online for around $10, which is less than you'll pay for renting them in Athens.  I encourage you to purchase them (and at these prices, that shouldn't prove too much of a hardship for most of you), so that you may highlight/take notes in the text.
